Remember to remove or lock away valuables such as jewellery, coins, currency, cameras and compact discs.

Ensure a comfortable temperature so the potential buyers can take their time and feel comfortable. Open all drapes, blinds, and turn on lights to make the house bright. Pick up clutter, and empty garbage. Open windows briefly to air out the house and get rid of cooking, pet odours, etc. Do not use air fresheners as some people are allergic and many believe you are masking something. Make sure everything is spotless.

Remove pets from the house or put them outside. (Some people are frightened and/or allergic to animals)

Now is the time to go out and bring the pet for a walk. Buyers need to take their time and feel comfortable doing so, most people will feel like they are invading your privacy if you are home.
